Interpretation

- SIJ 58: ḫlṭ ʿand he has become mentally derangedʾ.
- Commentary
- Winnett's translation of ḫlṭ as "he has become mentally deranged" seems unlikely. However, cf. Arabic ḫallaṭa "he was in a state of confusion" (Lane 787a–b).
