Interpretation
- Commentary
- The prongs of the last letter are very short and indistinct and it is possible that the letter should be read as a l. It is possible the inscription is unfinished and the end should be read ʿgd {h}. Neither of the names ʿgdh or ʿgdl are known in Safaitic, though ʿgd and ʿgdn have been found once each (KshMSMI 1 and KRS 1742 respectively). There appear to be two false starts at inscriptions on the rock One is a l and possible ʿ and the other is a l and a s¹.
