Interpretation

- TRANSLATION ʾbkrb, Abū l-Ḥasan: 'father of Rkb'.
- Commentary
- The shape of the ġ is Taymanitic and indeed all the letters except ṯ could equally well be Taymanitic as Dadanitic. The name ṭmṯn has been found several times in Safaitic (Fokelien Kootstra, personal communication). At the end and below this graffito several there are other letters, but it is difficult to be sure whether they belong to AH 263.
