Commentary
The lower stroke of the letter y is incised upward. Lines 1–2 can be interpreted as two personal names. ʿkl is known in Thamudic (Ryckmans G. 1934-1935: 163) and Safaitic (Harding 1971: 429). Line 3. Byt is a verb, cognate to Arabic bāta 'to spend the night, to stay with someone' (Kazimirski 1860: 181, vol. 1).
