- TEXT Lines 1–2. Abū l-Ḥasan: [k]mʾ rather than ----ngʾ. Line 2. Sima does not read the beginning of this line; Abū l-Ḥasan: ʾṭl for ʾẓl. TRANSLATION Line 2. ʾẓl, Sima: '(he) covered (this subterranean water-channel)'. DISCUSSION Hidalgo-Chacón Díez 2016: 128, for the divine name Ḏġbt.
- Commentary
- Sima does not identify this text with AH 177. Line 1 is not aligned with those below it. Line 2. The verb ʾẓl means "he performed the ẓll-ceremony", the exact nature of which we do not know. Usually, but not always, this verb is followed by the noun h-ẓll meaning "the ẓll-ceremony". Thus, ʾẓl and ʾẓl h-ẓll both mean "he performed the ẓll-ceremony".
