- TEXT Lines 1–2. Altheim and Stiehl followed by van den Branden: s¹ʿdṣll rather than s¹ʿdḥml; Stiehl followed by Al-Qudrah: s¹ʿdḥll for s¹ʿdḥml. Line 3. Altheim and Stiehl: ʾẓlh b- ḏʿ[ws] for nḫl -h b- ḏʿmn; van den Branden: ʾẓlh b- ḏʿ[n] for nḫl -h b- ḏʿmn. They restore rḍ[y-h] at the end of this line, but, on the photograph, the h can be seen immediately after the ḍ; Abū l-Ḥasan: ʾṭll h- ṭll rather than ʾẓll h- ẓll. Line 4. Altheim and Stiehl, followed by van den Branden: bs¹rn for b- khl; Altheim and Stiehl: f rḍ [y -h] for f rḍ -h. TRANSLATION Lines 2–3. ʾẓll h- ẓll, Altheim and Stiehl: '(he) constructed the awning'; van den Branden: '(he) repaired the cistern'; Stiehl: '(he) took care of the awning'; Al-Qudrah: '(he) constructed the awning'; Sima: '(he) covered the subterranean water-channel'; Farès-Drappeau: '(he) offered the sacrifice [of the camel]'. Line 3. bʿd, Altheim and Stiehl followed by van den Branden: 'then'; Sima: 'in the direction of'; bʿd nḫl -h, Farès-Drappeau: 'on behalf of her date harvest'. - Commentary
- Line 2: It can be seen on the photograph that the lower part of the left stroke of the m of s¹ʿdḥml has broken off. Line 6. The mason does not seem to have left himself sufficient space to carve the end of this line in relief and therefore had to incise the final word.
