Translation: Ws²ḥ son of Wdd of the lineage of Ḏmr performed the ẓll-ceremony for Ḏġbt and so may he favour him and may he help him and {his} posterity

Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus: TEXT Lines 2–3. Abū l-Ḥasan: ʾṭll h- ṭll rather than ʾẓll h- ẓll. TRANSLATION Lines 2–3: ʾẓll h- ẓll, Sima: '(he) covered the subterranean water-channel'; Farès-Drappeau: '(he) offered the sacrifice'. Line 6. ʾḫrt [-h], Farès-Drappeau: 'he has guided him'. DISCUSSION Hidalgo-Chacón Díez 2016: 128, for the divine name Ḏġbt.
Commentary: Line 3. The double writing of l can be considered as dittography. The second l is not read by Farès-Drappeau, even though it can be seen in the photograph and in the Abū l-Ḥasan's copy (1997: 459, pl. 1).
