- Commentary

Lines 2–3: One would expect l-ḏġbt after ʾẓll. However, after ʾẓll, there is a round sign (possibly originally a w) which has been erased, then a word divider, then a sign which could be a r or a l, after which the rock face comes to an end in a small uneven area. It is also clear that there was nothing before the t/ at the beginning of line 3. We are unable to explain this. Note that this is one of the few Dadanitic inscriptions in which the sign for ṭ and the sign for ẓ occur, so that the difference in their shapes can be clearly seen.
