- Translation
- By ʾbn son ofʾfkl son of Ns²l son of ʾktr son of Mʿd son ofʾbgr and he grieved for his son for Tḥsn and for Zbd {son of} S²ml son of ----y so O Ds²r grant a boon and booty
Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- BRCM: nfl for ns²l; [w] ʿl- tḥs¹n for ʿl- tḥs¹n; s²mln for s²ml; ġny for ----y.
- Commentary
- The ʾ in the first two names is like a ḫ. Presumably, tḥs¹n was the author's son, hence no w between bn-h and the following ʿl-. For ʾws¹ as an imperative "grant a boon" see Al-Jallad & Jaworska.
