Interpretation

Commentary
The lightly scratched Greek text on the same face as BRenv.A 2. Published in Macdonald, Muazzin and Nehmé 1996: 464, under E2. The first name could represent the names bʾr, bʿr or bhr. The vocalization of the second suggests a name of the form *Katīl.

Provenance
On the left bank of Wādī Shām, north-west of the water-tower at Biʾr al-Ruṣayʿī. A small outcrop overlooking the wādī, 30 m east of site 14, on the opposite side of a small gully. This is site E in Macdonald, Al Muʾazzin & Nehmé 1996.
