Interpretation
- Commentary
- The author omitted the b ("son of") between his name and his patronym and had to add it beside the word-divider to the left of the text. He also appears to have omitted the l in ṣlm. It is unlikely to be an example of assimilation of the /l/ to the following consonant, as in theophoric names in which Ṣlm is the first element, e.g. ṣmntn < Ṣlm-ntn (see Kootstra 20016: 84).
