Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- AWS 46: grʾ for gbʾ
- Commentary
- The letters b and r are clearly distinguished in this text and the first word of the narrative is therefore gbʾ not grʾ as read in the ed. princ. For gbʾ compare Arabic ǧabaʾa "to conceal oneself" (Lane 372a). The author apparently placed the m before the l in the final word.
