- By Brd son of ʾws¹ son of Ḃnt of the tribe of Qmr and he travelled quickly and so, O Hlt [grant] security and booty
Interpretation
- Commentary
- This is a clear example of the divine name hlt, rather than lt or ʾlt.
- Provenance
- Note that Winnett says that SIJ 840–841 (which he refers to by the copy numbers T 134–135) "came from a ridge which borders the road leaving the tell" (1957: 93). The stone carrying the inscriptions was rediscovered by the Badia Epigraphic Survey 2015 at the eastern foot of Tell al-ʿAbd.
