Translation
By Grmʾl son of Ġyrʾl son of Mġny son of Grmʾl and {he migrated to the inner desert} {with} the {military unit}, so O Lt [grant] security

Interpretation

Commentary
Macdonald 2009: I, 374: ms¹rt has a similar range of meanings to Syriac mašrīṯā “ camp ” and "troop army host ”. For the emendation of n to (b) before h-m(s¹)rt compare WH 1675 (w ʾs²rq b-h-ms¹rt) and WH 1855 (w ʾs²rq b-ms¹rt hnʾ).
