Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- ZeGA 11: h- ṭbʿ "this river" for "the place where water has sunk into the earth and collected"
- Commentary
- The translation of h-ṭbʿ as "this river", seems unlikely since the author has stated that he is spending the dry season in this valley and we have therefore translated it as "the place where water has sunk into the earth and collected" (see Lane 1824a, and Groom 1983: 292) which seems more appropriate.
