Translation
By ʿm son of Rkb son of Hwd son of Ẓnn and he pastured the goats in the valley in the dry season and so he was on the look out for the place where water has sunk into the earth and collected and so O Lt [grant] security and [inflict] ejection from the grave on whoever scratches out the inscription

Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus
ZeGA 11: h- ṭbʿ "this river" for "the place where water has sunk into the earth and collected"
Commentary
The translation of h-ṭbʿ as "this river", seems unlikely since the author has stated that he is spending the dry season in this valley and we have therefore translated it as "the place where water has sunk into the earth and collected" (see Lane 1824a, and Groom 1983: 292) which seems more appropriate.
