Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- JaS: w dṯʾ b bʾrn "and he has spent the spring at bʾrn". MST p.8 n.43: dṯʾ "he spent the season of the later rains "; ṣyr "he returned to a watering place ".
- Commentary
- The first b after the word dṯʾ is a smaller curve than other instances of the letter in the text and it is written above the previous ʾ. The letter after the next ʾ could be a r or a b. The translation "at two wells" for b-bʾrn is purely a suggestion since it seems odd that he then returned to a place of permanent water.
