Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus
HaNSC 31: trḥ rġm mny "he died unwillingly" for "who had perished struck down by Fate"
Commentary
Safaitic grb is probably related to Arabic ǧarab "scabies" or it could perhaps be the verbal noun of ǧariba "to become mangy; to have scabies". Safaitic gʿ is surely comparable to Arabic ǧawʿ "hunger, starvation".
