Interpretation

Commentary
This text is very difficult to read as it runs underneath the beginning of BES20 21. The lām auctoris runs over the edge and slightly on to the other face of the stone. On the other face, there is a long vertical line that originates at the top of the l. One would suggest that this is a mistake. ḥ{m}: The second letter of the name is very difficult to read, but a m seems to be readable in the negative photograph. {b}n: At the top of the m of the name mlk in BES20 21, there appears to be a chiselled b, followed by a long n. ġḍḍt: The ġ initially looks like a m, but one can see where the lines curve to the left between the bottoms of the two crescents of the chiselled m of BES20 21. Therefore, it is a double-line ġ.
