Interpretation

Commentary
Along with other inscriptions on this stone, BES20 132 seems to have been vandalised. ----{r}n: The first name has been hammered over. There seem to be four letters in total in the name, but it is possible that there are multiple letters below the two hammered circles. The penultimate letter looks very much like a r as the top and bottom of the letter are visible. {b}{n}: The top of the b is visible above the hammered erasure. The damage covering the n produces a short vertical shape next to the b, so is clearly a n. b{ʾ}r: The second letter seems to be a ʾ, but it is possible that the wide area at the bottom of the letter is damage, rather than the lower legs of a ʾ. A reading of bʾr or bhr is possible.
