Interpretation
- Commentary
- gdʾ{l}: The erased letters of BES20 135 cover the left hand parts of the letters of this inscription. The b's are turned at 90º. The third letter of this name is initially ambiguous, but upon close inspection the lower leg of a ʾ can be seen to the left of the letter before being covered by BES20 135. The final letter seems to have the curve of a r and is quite different to the more angular lām auctoris. The name gdʾl is well-attested.
