Transliteration: l ḥrṯt bn s²ʾmy bn br{n} h- s¹trt w rys²[[]] blt[[h]] w wrd brkt ḫ[[l]]l ḥwlt
Translation: By Ḥrṯt son of S²ʾmy son of {Brn} is the small shelter rys²[[]] blt[[h]] and he watered at Brkt keeping watch for the Ḥwlt

Interpretation

Commentary: Between the b and r of the third name there is a fault in the rock and then a small dot which may or may not be a ʿ. The final letter is also strange. It like two n's which have been joined at top and bottom and the joins then scratched over. The author carved a n after rys² but it was then scratched over either by him or another. Similarly, after blt he carved a large ʾ which was then changed to a h by scratching over the lower fork. Finally, he carved the penultimate word as ḫʾl but then corrected it to ḫll by scratching over the side-strokes of the middle letter. We have been unable to interpret the sequence rys²[[]] blt[[h]].
