Interpretation

- King (1990: 323–324) commented: "The text is written down the rock in a wavy line to the right of KJC 109. For love texts of this type, see Ch.4.E.2. I have restored the r on the basis of the word nʿrt occurring in KJC 539, cf. Heb. ne ʿara ‘a young girl’. I have translated ftnn as the dual of Ar. fātin ‘seducer’ although there is no agreement in gender with the preceding nouns. An alternative would be to divide the last four letters as f tnn and translate them as ‘an so he remained’, cf. Ar. tanna, ‘stay or dwell’".
