Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- LP 442 takes the inscription to be "a document of property or a record of sale".
- Commentary
- It is not clear what nhḍ means here. In Arabic, nahda means to "arise, hasten" and inhaḍḍa (√H-Ḍ-Ḍ) means "to be broken or crushed", neither of which seem suitable for this context. It seems therefore better to take it as the personal name which is known in Safaitic.
