Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- TRANSLATION ḫṭṭ, Corbett: "(he) carved". To take ḫṭṭ as a verb here is too vague in a context where the inscription is in effect a signature to the drawing. DISCUSSION Corbett (2010: 335–336) commented: "The drawing occurs directly beneath a large drawing of a bull (a1) being hunted by three men with bows (a2-a4). The position of the text and the author’s use of the phrase ḫṭṭ suggest fšg was the artist".
