- TRANSLATION ḫṭṭ, Corbett: "(he) carved". To take ḫṭṭ as a verb here is too vague in a context where the inscription is in effect a signature to the drawing. DISCUSSION Corbett (2010: 340) commented: "This flat-lying stone in the middle of the Wādī floor has a number of unique inscriptions, most carved in an unusual variety of Thamudic E/Ḥismaic. Several character shapes in this inscription are unusual, although the reading is clear. To the side of the text is the character l. It has not been read as part of the text but, given the awkwardness of these texts, it may be related".
