Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus
TRANSLATION ḫṭṭ, Corbett: "(he) carved". To take ḫṭṭ as a verb here is too vague in a context where the inscription is in effect a signature to the drawing. DISCUSSION Corbett (2010: 344–345) commented: "PN1 has been thoroughly effaced and the reading is somewhat doubtful. There is a crack in the face of the stone above the initial l".
