AAWHA 22
Transliteration
l ʾṯʿ bn mnʿ h- ʿr w ṣyr m- mdbr w tnẓr ḥywt
Translation
By ʾṯʿ son of Mnʿ is the [drawing of an] ass and he was coming back to permanent water from the inner desert and was looking for a means of subsistence

Interpretation

Commentary
Al-Jallad & Jaworska (under ḥyy) interpret ḥywt as "long life" but that does not seem appropriate in this context. We have therefore interpreted it on the basis of Classical Arabic ḥayāwah a "means of subsistence".
