Commentary
The text is on the far left of the stone and has been badly damaged by the Modern Arabic graffito. The first two letters have also been clipped in the only photograph available. Of the the three straight lines at the beginning the lowest, touching the following letter, is thinner than the other two and we would suggest it is an extraneous scratch. The following letter or letters seems to be a straight line followed by a loop (like a back-to-front b) which is joined to it at one end but not the other. We have suggested reading this as a d. Finally, there is a short line, which we would suggest is a n. At one end of it is what looks like a crack in the rock on the photograph. However, all these readings are suggested very tentatively.
