Interpretation

Commentary
There is what appears to be a vertical line between the second and third letters, but since it is thicker and rougher than the lines of the letters, it would seem to be extraneous to the inscription. For the interpretation of bʿw see Al-Jallad & Jaworska. Here bʿw is taken as an infinitive in the adverbial accusative. For kfyt cf. Arabic kufyah "food, sufficiency" (Hava 661). There is a large w and a partly formed w after kfyt. However, it appears that the author stopped at this point. The layout of AAWHA 90 suggests that it was carved after 89 and fitted in around it.
