Interpretation

Commentary
The photographs are unfortunately out-of-focus and there are a number of abrasions on the face which have obscured some letters. The abrasion after {f} would only be covering two letters plus the right-hand part of the t and so the restoration h lt would seem very likely. nqʾt b is then visible before another abrasion renders invisible the person whom the author wishes to perform the act. There are several possibilities b-wdd ("by a loved one"), b-ʾḫ-h ("by his brother"), b-ṣdq ("by a friend"), and b-ḥbb ("by a friend"). Any restoration is hampered by the intrusion of a drawing (of a camel ?) just below the text at this point.

Associated Drawings
A horseman with wild hair spearing a carnivore (probably a lion) with a long lance. There is also what might be an outline camel (?) near the bottom of the face.
