Interpretation
- Commentary
- bdl: The is a short thick diagonal line at the bottom of the second letter. Upon close inspection it is clear that the mark is not quite connected to the letter, so is extraneous. The letter must be a d. rf{ʾ}t: The name is difficult to read on the stone and has been read with reference to an inscription on an adjacent stone (BES20 240), seemingly by the same author. The lower fork of the apparent ʾ is not clear on the stone. However, the bottom of the letter does widen, so a ʾ is likely. {w}s²yt: The first letter is very difficult to see in the photographs. With reference to BES20 240, it must be a w.
