Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus
AbSWS 47: ḫrs¹ for trb
Commentary
The verb read as ḫrs¹ in the ed. pr. which would require a mispronunciation (ḫrs¹ instead of ḫrṣ) on the part of the author, is actually trb. The first letter is identical to the t of ḫtft and the last to the b of bn. Cf Arabic tarraba "to be destitute" (Lane 300a–b)
