- NB the statement is written with the letters on their sides above the genealogy. The end of the text is obscured on the photograph by the photo number. NB Trimingham 1979: 143 "sammāʿ" ("hearers") was the Manichaean technical term for the novices as opposed to ṣidd¡qºn the initiates.
