WH 2182

Text Information

Siglum
WH 2182
Transliteration
l ʾfṣy w ts²wq l- bkrt
Translation
By ʾfṣy and he longed for a young girl

Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus
WH: bkrt "the [sic] she-camel"
Commentary
Surely bkrt = “a young girl” or a personal name rather than “the [sic] she-camel”. The drawing of a rider on a camel is in a technique quite different from this inscription and much closer to that of WH 2183.
