WH 2876

Text Information

Siglum
WH 2876
Transliteration
----{s¹{}}{l}l bn ----m
Translation
----{S¹ll} son of {----m}

Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus
WH: s¹ll bn dm for ----{s¹{}}{l}l bn ----m
Commentary
The text is lightly incised in very thin letters and runs vertically to the left of WH 2875. There is no sign of a lām auctoris and it is doubtful if WH's reading of the first letter as s¹ is correct. It is also impossible to see the d they read after bn. The text is crossed by numerous scratches and it is impossible to make any certain reading.

Provenance
WH Cairn 39 and this inscription were rediscovered and photographed by the Badia Epigraphic Survey in 2018 and the co-ordinates given are exact.
