Interpretation
- Commentary
- This is on the same stone as WH 2996 but was not recorded by WH. The first three letters are joined by a horizontal stroke. It is difficult to identify the penultimate letter. Both b and r have much larger and shallower shapes, if the reading of the first name is correct.
- Provenance
- WH Cairn 39 and this inscription were rediscovered and photographed by the Badia Epigraphic Survey in 2018 and the co-ordinates given are exact.
