Interpretation

Commentary
WH takes ḥlb bn yʿll as part of WH 3592 and the stance of the ḥ might suggest this. However, in that case the authors name would be very peculiar, even if its initial letter is read as a y, as it is by WH. It seems more likely that ḥlb bn yʿll is a continuation of WH 3591 and that 3592 is a wasm. The name read as ḥlb could be the more common ḥrb, but only if the final name is yʿrr, cf. the name yʿll in WH 3584, 3586, and 3588 on the same stone.

WH Cairn 46 and this inscription were rediscovered and photographed by the Badia Epigraphic Survey in 2018 and the co-ordinates given are exact.
