LP 360: w rʿy h- {m]{ʿ}zy l- nfs¹ -h s¹nt ḥrb ʾl dʾf ṭqṭ "and he tended the goats by himself in the year of the war of the tribe of Dʾf with utmost difficulty" for w rʿy h- {m]{ʿ}zy l- nfs¹ -h s¹nt ḥrb ʾl dʾf {ṭ}yʾ "nd he pastured the goats by himself the year the lineage of Dʾf plundered {Ṭyʾ}"
Commentary
Several of the letters are not well formed (for instance the first and second examples of ṭhave no horizontal cross bar, while the third has a cross bar but only two verticals). The text has also suffered damage in places, particularly over the first two letters of the word mʿzy. The expression l- nfs¹ -h is unusual (see Al-Jallad 2015: 154–155), Being alone is more often expressed by the verb whd. The date could, of course mean either "the year Ṭyʾ plundered the ʾl Dʾf" or "the year the ʾl Dʾf plundered Ṭyʾ"
