Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- NSR: The text is not read in NSR. JaS 68.3: l dḫs rbd "By Dḫs. He has stayed [here]".
- Commentary
- The interpretation of these letters is doubtful. The sign read as {ʿ} is interpreted by JaS as a sun with rays but it is more likely that the "rays" are abrasions made by direct hammering. The last first three letters are directly hammered and the last three are incised on to the rock. It is doubtful that the signs read as l d and ḫ by JaS are letters.
