Interpretation

- TRANSLATION Naveh: l s¹ryt w ʾs¹nt mṭy l- ḥgr -n "By s¹ryt and he came this year to our region".
- Commentary
- If the second letter is a s¹ then it has a different stance to other examples of the letter in these texts and a slightly longer tail. The following letter has a different form to the other r in this text which has one arm as an exaggerated curve. The w is inscribed slightly above the line of the preceding t and was probably left out originally.
