- Translation
- By Nʿrt son of Ḫdmt son of Trml son of S¹ry son of S¹hm he was on a raid in a valley and so O Yṯʿ may he be secure and the sky withheld its rain during [the sun's] presence in Aquarius [mid-January–mid-February] then Aries [mid-March–mid-April] then Libra [mid-September–mid-October] and so he despaired so O Bʿls¹mn [grant] relief and security.
Interpretation
- Commentary
- The text is damaged after the ḍ of ḥḍ{r} but it is possible a r should be restored. The k and r of ḏkr and the w of rwḥ are partly obscured by hammering. For the interpretation of the second half of the text see Al-Jallad 2016: 98.
