Interpretation
- Commentary
- The first letter of the second name looks more like a w than a ʿ, but the sequence of names in other inscriptions on this rock suggest that ʿbd was intended. It is possible that the author left out the name ʿḏ after ʿbd as the sequence mlk bn ʿbd bn ʿḏ occurs in KRS 979 and 981, and mlk bn ʿbd bn ʿḏ bn s²rb in KRS 982 on this rock. The last letter of the text is slightly damaged and the photograph is not very clear. It is possible that it should be read as a r.
