- Translation
- By Mʿn son of Ẓby son of Mʿn and he found the writing of his mother's father and so he was miserable overshadowed (with grief)
Interpretation
- Commentary
- The expression ʾb ʾm-h is interesting since it implies that there was no separate word for a maternal grandfather parallel to ʿm for paternal grandfather. It occurs again in SIJ 711 and AWS 125.
