By Ḥnʾl son of Ḥgy of the lineage of Ṭs¹m and he stood guard for Dmṣy and longed for ʾs¹d son of Yẓr

Interpretation

Al-Salameen et al. 2018: trans. "and he was on the look-out for Dmṣy" for nẓr ʿl- dmṣy. 

Commentary

On the tribe of Ṭs¹m, see the commentary of ZSH 1.

Note that the phrase w nẓr ʿl- dmṣy recurs in NEH 6 and Dmṣy is also mentioned in SIJ 823 which is by the same man as NEH 6.1 on this rock.
