By Bhs² son of ʾklm son of Wd son of ʿqrb and he pastured the sheep {the year} Qdm fled [or was appointed] and he feared {Zmlt} and so Gdḍf and S²ʿhqm [grant] security and spoil to he who reads [this] aloud

Interpretation
- Commentary
- The middle section of the inscription is very difficult and the reading is presented here very tentatively. On s¹{n}t {n}{g}{y} qdm there is another inscription (C 781) dated to s¹nt n{g}y qdm bn ʿmm hdy “the year Qdm son of ʿmm was {appointed commander” which might refer to the same event.
