Interpretation
- Commentary
- The translation here presents a new reading of the verb lym, translated as ‘to be at fault’ by Al-Jallad and Jaworska 2019. A reading of ‘to linger in’, similar to the Classical Arabic talawwama (Hava 694b), seems more appropriate. Note the other attested use of the verb lym also occurs with the verb tẓr, therefore there seems to be a connection between the two verbs. Josef Bloomfield
