Interpretation
- Commentary
- The inscription is difficult to read due to damage on the stone. The genealogy seems to be one that has been attested twice previously (KRS 1703; ZMMS 169). The author seems to have written a ʾ for the final letter in the second name. A name s²krʾ has only been attested once and we would normally expect a l after the letter for s²krʾl. It seems likely, therefore, that the letter is supposed to be a h, especially when considering the reading of the first and third names corresponds with a know genealogy. The end of the inscription is covered by damage on the stone. Josef Bloomfield
