One end of the l has a small, rubbed out prong. This can hardly be interpreted as an attempt at an h as the prongs in the h and ʾ later are much larger. It seems that the author erronously etched a small fork at one end and then erased it.
wln: This form is cognate with Classical Arabic waylun. It provides another attesation of the rare phenomenon of vestigal nunation.
