- Commentary
- Aside from the letter read as ẓ, the letters are clear on the stone. Despite this, it is difficult to make sense of the meaning of the letters at the end. The combination of ẓ and q seems unlikely. It is possible that the last three letters should be read ʿl- h, i.e. ‘upon him (the author)’. Josef Bloomfield
