Interpretation
- Commentary
- The final word following s¹nt is difficult to read in the photographs and therefore the reading is presented tentatively. The first two letters seem to be very close together, the first of which seems to be a short vertical line, read as a n. The second looks like a circle, followed by a semi-circle, with a horizontal line running through the middle of both. This has been read as a ṣ here, but it could possibly be a w and a ḥ. The final letter looks like a r, but one side is slightly thicker, so could potentially be a y. Josef Bloomfield
